At How2Sport we love pointing beginners to the best free coaching online. For padel technique, our favourite is The Padel School. If you want clear, no-nonsense lessons on the shots that make padel different, their videos are a brilliant place to start.

What is The Padel School?

The Padel School is a YouTube channel run by brothers Tom and Sandy Farquharson, former tennis pros who switched to padel coaching. Sandy is a British national coach and part of the LTA’s padel setup. The channel (once known as ServingYouRight) covers technique, tactics, drills and matchplay for everyone from complete beginners to competitive players.

Why it’s great for beginners

Padel has shots you won’t know from tennis — using the glass walls, the bandeja, the lob, the underarm serve. The Padel School breaks these down simply, and keeps repeating the two lessons beginners need most: play with control instead of power, and move as a pair. You get quick tips and full lessons, so you can learn one thing and go try it.

How to follow them

Subscribe to the channel and watch one concept before you play:

How we’d use it with How2Sport

Combine their videos with our own beginner material: start with the padel basics and our padel technique guide, pick one idea from a video (for example, letting the ball come off the glass before you hit it), then practise just that in your next session.

How2Sport is not affiliated with The Padel School. This is an independent recommendation; all videos remain the property of their owner.
